To Hang On Your Door

Maya Road | Maya Road

Hello everyone!

It's time for an easy-peasy project for you to re-create for your own home. My two nephews Durrani and Dhamiri recently got their own bedroom and to make the room theirs, I created this hanging project for their bedroom door. It's a simple arrangement made from a few pieces of Maya Road chipboard and you will see that you do not need a lot to create a beautiful piece of work.

This hanging piece consists of an arrangement of chipboard pieces in descending size. The smallest piece was easily created by layering a Suede Stitched blossom over an inked large Blossom III Chipboard.

The foundation for the next piece is the embossed cover of a Butterfly Coaster, which was first misted with some gorgeous Gold Metallic Maya Mist. The boys' initial is a glittered Philadelphia Lowercase Alphabet.

The 2nd-largest piece of this arrangement is a page from the Scallop Chipboard Coaster Book, covered in patterned paper and layered with a picture of the two boys.

The largest piece of the arrangement is made from a page out of my favorite Butterfly Coaster Album, which was covered in patterned paper and layered with a piece of Sheer Scallop Card. Title is David Chipboard Alphabets, which were misted with Green Maya Mist and then a spray of Silver Metallic Maya Mist. This piece was then easily embellished with clusters of Suede Stiched blossomsVelvet Stitched Blossoms and velvet leaves.

Punch holes in each piece of the arrangement, connect them with some thin silk ribbons and finish it off with a bow of tulle at the top. Hang this on the bedroom door, and enjoy!

Link up your door hanging and let us know if you tried this project for yourself!

xoxo, Lia
