Standing Mini Canvas Project

Shelley Haganman

I am so love the look of the thick canvas projects popping up in scrapbooking land! With some amazing Maya Road products and a day to play this is what I came up with!

For this project I used a small canvas (4x4). First I applied my tissue papers with a decoupage medium. Then I started adding some Maya Road goodness! I inked, applied, and sealed my kraft clock and tickets with the decoupage medium. Once dry I added my rubons. I stamped my word from the Maya Road "Just My Type" stamp set onto kraft paper, punched them out with a circle punch, and then adhered them and sealed them with decoupage medium. To jazz up some pins I dipped my star pins into glue and then sprinkled them with Maya Road glitter. With the Ledger stamp I simply stamped randomly on the canvas.

Next, I inked my wooden ruler and organza trim, wooden snowflake, and wooden spools. Then I stamped onto two pieces of canvas fabric with the Maya Road "Measure Twice" stamp set and wrapped those around my spools.

Next, I adhered my distressed looking Organza trim to three sides of my canvas and then added my embellishments to the front of my canvas. Lastly, I glued the two canvas stamped spools to the underside of my canvas for a stand. I love how it turned out and am ready to make some more for Christmas presents!

I hope this post will inspire you to make your own canvas using some of the incredible products from Maya Road! Happy Creating! Shelley
