Paint, Sand, Stamp, Glitter

Maya Road | Maya Road

When it comes to chipboard, I have a favorite technique...that of painting the chipboard object a creamy, off-white, distressing it a bit, and then adding a dusting of glitter....today, I decided to mix up my routine a bit and have stamped the chipboard leaves from Maya Road with the new Doilies stamp set and stamped a couple of other chipboard leaves with the new Ledger stamp set.

...it's so fun to sit back and watch the chipboard transform into something with life and character....have you tried it?  Try a different color of acrylic paint, a darker ink for a more defined, stamped image, and instead of glitter, Mica Flakes...mmmmm...need to try this.

Another couple of things to help bring your chipboard to life even more, is stitching....chipboard is so easy to run through your sewing machine....try a zig zag stitch, you'll be hooked.

Lastly....a simple Black Pearl Trinket Pin following the direction of the leaf, adds a touch of elegance and dresses up your project.
