Follow Your Art Linen Pincushion

Follow your art with this sweet and shabby altered art pin cushion project. This project makes a sweet gift or change it up from a pin cushion to a home dec accent by adding a loop to hang it with.

To create this project I started with a Maya Road linen heart.

It was stamped on in black permanent ink with some lovely vintage style stamps. Once the heart was stamped I laid it on a piece of felt and stitched around the heart. Trim off excess felt with pinking shears. Cut a slit in the back of the project and fill with pillow batting. Stitch closed

Embellish heart with die cut felt doilies, gems, vintage buttons and seam binding. Stamp sentiment on Linen Maya Road tag. Tie with twine and adhere. Adhere scissor charm to doilies and embellish.
